Zebrafish Retina Electrode Recommendation
Electrode Recommendation:
For Adult Zebrafish Retina and where the eye is left for a while after the electroporation we recommend:
– CUY650P3 Download Technical Drawing
For Larval Zebrafish Retina (which is quite small, 10microns) it may not be possible to inject DNA buffer. Accordingly, we suggest that electroporation is performed after the larval zebrafish eye is taken out. Once this is done and one intends culturing the retinae, then we recommend our petridish-type electrode. The following configurations are possible:
– CUY701P2E and CUY611P3-1, or
– CUY701P2E and CUY614 w/CUY615, or
– CUY700P2E and CUY611P3-1, or
– CUY700P2E and CUY614 w/ CUY615

Kindly note this link to further Zebrafish Retina infomation. This link refers to the work of Dr. Thummel of the University of Notre Dame who is working on the delivery of gens into adult zebrafish retina by electroporation. In the experiment, as the adult zebrafish is used and the eye is left for a while after electroporation, CUY650P3 (tweezers-type electrode) is used.
